Virgin Train West Coast - Continuing Adverse Weather 2 March 2018

Virgin Train West Coast - Continuing Adverse Weather 2 March 2018

Due to the weather, the route between Carlisle and Scotland remains closed with no trains, or replacement buses, running. Unfortunately, Network Rail has been unable to clear the route, and we do not expect trains to run between Carlisle and Scotland for the rest of today (Friday). Teams are working to clear the route and we will keep customers updated if the situation changes.

We are expecting services to be busy today, Friday 2nd March, and have therefore relaxed all ticket restrictions for today. Customers with Virgin Trains tickets for today are free to travel on any of our services.

Ticket restrictions for passengers travelling to or from Scotland have also been relaxed. Customers with tickets to or from Edinburgh / Glasgow from Wednesday 28th February to Sunday 4th March (inclusive) can travel on any of our Scotland services during that time.

Alternatively, if customers travelling to or from Scotland would prefer to cancel their journey, refunds will be given without any fee being charged.
