Liverpool Lime Street Disruption

Liverpool Lime Street Disruption

01 March 2017

Part of a retaining wall has collapsed on the approach to Liverpool Lime Street station. This has left a considerable amount of rubble on the track, and brought down the overhead power lines.

Thus, there are no trains running in or out of the station, and we expect this to continue for several days.

Services to and from Liverpool Lime Street are starting and finishing at Runcorn, with replacement buses covering the rest of the route. This means journeys are likely to take around forty minutes longer, and passengers should expect delays.

We are relaxing ticket restrictions, so anyone with an Advance ticket can travel up to an hour earlier than their booked train.

If passengers would prefer to change or cancel their journey, tickets can be exchanged or refunded without an administration charge.

We’re sorry for the disruption this will cause to journeys, and as soon as we have more detail on the length of time repairs will take we will let you know.
