Travel Update - Avanti West Coast

Important updates for travelling with Avanti West Coast

Extra protective safety measures are in place during this period, so all customers are strongly advised to allow more time for their journey:

Allow for extra time
There are controlled access measures in place outside of stations and platforms. Therefore, there may be a queue.

Follow guidance
On arriving at the station the team will help guide customers get onboard safely. There’s also extra signage in place.

Come prepared
Customers are asked to have reservations ready to show the station team. This is needed to board the train. If a place has not been booked in advance, it is strongly recommended. This can be done by emailing seat.reservations@avantiwestcoast.co.uk

Seating arrangements
Some seats are blocked off to make it clear which seats are in use. There’s currently no standing on Avanti West Coast trains. Customers are asked to remain seated as much as possible and listen out for announcements to help manage social distancing.

Please be patient
The team are working hard to make journeys as safe as possible. Please help by respecting social distancing and remain patient with front line team members and other customers.

Safe travels
When travelling on train, remember to:

  • Wash your hands
  • Keep your distance
  • If you can, wear a face covering
  • Use contactless payments where available
