Local lockdowns - Refund Fee Policy

We have received the latest refund guidance from DfT regarding local lockdown areas.

DfT have confirmed that there will be no change to Refund and Change of Journey administration fees in local lockdown areas, and so the usual refund administration fees will apply.

Please advise your clients that Advance Purchase tickets remain non-refundable during the current global pandemic and subject to an admin fee if changing the journey, so passengers should therefore consider carefully when buying these tickets.

Please also advise your clients that the price of walk-up single and return tickets will be the same on the day of travel as they are weeks in advance, so clients may consider deferring their purchases until nearer the date of travel in case their plans have to change, so that they won’t incur any administration fees.
